Aishat Olanlege, BRI’s first international student chapter president from Ibadan College of Medicine in Oyo State, Nigeria, gives a presentation at BRI’s 4th annual leadership conference on what it’s like working in the trenches of rural Nigeria, bringing healthcare to the communities there.
Aishat first attended BRI’s 2015 Leadership Conference, and in 2016 brought two classmates with her. Faith Njoku, BRI president from UC, Irvine School of Medicine subsequently traveled to Nigeria to work with Aishat to bring mobile ultrasound equipment to rural communities, and to see about bringing a more free market healthcare policy climate to Nigeria.
